The World Bank has organized and promoted research on entrepreneurship education and training, and in 2014 published a study titled "The State of Entrepreneurship Education and Training in the World: The Dimension of Success" (Alexandria Valerio, Brent Parton, and Alicia Robb, 2014).The study categorizes entrepreneurship education and training programs and analyzes the output of entrepreneurship education by category, including project characteristics, participant characteristics, and project background.On the basis of classification and analysis, sample analysis and evaluation of entrepreneurship education around the world are carried out.The study reflects the thinking of international banking organizations in Education Sector Strategy 2020, Learning for All: Investing in People's Knowledge and Skills to Promote Development, and directly addresses the fourth part of the strategy report, SkillsToward Employment and Productivity.The study, which also closely aligns with the World Bank's Social Protection and Labor Strategy for 2012–22, aims to advance the development of "self-employment and start-up small businesses" as an alternative to "salary employment."

Entrepreneurship education and training (EET) has become a popular research area for policymakers and students to develop entrepreneurial minds and skills that enable learners to engage in entrepreneurial activities and achieve performance in a wide range of entrepreneurial activities.Entrepreneurship education and training involve a variety of content interactions, including formal academic education programs, but also independent training programs.However, the two programs aim to start businesses and help individuals and businesses that have already started.Entrepreneurship education and training reach a wide range of audiences, including traditional schoolchildren, dropouts, adult learners, individuals with doctoral degrees, minority groups, women, urban and rural populations, and so on.
