In recent years, I have devoted more energy to the study and thinking of library history. The starting point is around the commemoration and inheritance of Mr. Zhang housheng. The research on the predecessors investigates their academic contribution, career contribution, teaching contribution and many other aspects, and tries to make an appropriate evaluation according to the mastered historical materials. Such work is not easy, because it involves many factors. The times are developing, society is changing and personnel are changing. In the process of research, we need to do a variety of investigation and research. The common ones are historical data investigation, literature research and open and secret visits. I have actually visited many people, including Mr. Zhang housheng's elders, peers and younger generation. I can clearly feel that there are many differences, which are integrated into their own outlook on life and values. As a middle-aged researcher, I set foot in this field. Naturally, I will also think about how to treat myself well and how to better manage my own "academic life". How to learn from each other, develop strengths and avoid weaknesses, or advance in the face of difficulties and rise to difficulties requires careful choice. The important carrier of scientific research is papers and works. In the past, present and future, the status of papers and works plays an important role in "academic life". For various reasons, the reality of "paper only" is indeed worrying, but it seems difficult to change in the short term. We can clearly see the current situation. Papers have a high status, and the positions of treatises (Academic Monographs) and newspaper articles are embarrassing. If we want to further explore, in fact, the status of the paper has great potential. According to the comprehensive statistical results of 583 CSSCI source journals published from January to June 2021, "In the first half of the year, academic journals published 36937 papers. 583 journals published an average of 15.75 papers per issue, an average of 160.12 pages per issue, an average of 11.23 pages per paper, and an average authorship rate of 48.63%. Among the academic papers published in the first half of the year, there were 26124 funded papers, accounting for 70.73% of the total. There were 17411 funded papers, accounting for 47.14% of the total." In my opinion, this group of data is very informative. The projects at a certain level were concluded It needs several papers, mainly from CSSCI source journals. By simple comparison, the relationship between supply and demand seems to be "clear at a glance" In recent years, the relevant departments have made great efforts to rectify the situation, the number of academic journals has decreased, and the overall number of articles published has decreased significantly. I am the reviewer of many journals, including CSSCI source journals, CSSCI extended source journals and ordinary journals. If I only look at the annual number of articles and standards of articles used, I think there is no significant difference, in other words, "ordinary journals" It is not ordinary, from form to content and even the team of authors, which is similar to CSSCI source journals. A certain proportion of papers published by ordinary journals can be published in CSSCI source journals. Ordinary journals also have good, but some ordinary journals are "born out of luck" Every year, we should provide search reports for teachers and staff applying for professional titles, and we also have some knowledge of ordinary journals.

From time to time, someone will ask me for a shortcut to send a document. I can understand the mood of the applicant, but I really can't help it. Please understand!" I also have the pressure to send a document. Where does the pressure come from? As we all know, the evaluation and employment of professional titles focuses on the achievements since I took office, and sometimes especially on the achievements in recent x years. The important form of research foundation is published papers. If you act as a graduate supervisor, you also need to guide graduate students to complete research papers with both quantity and quality. Researchers who have obtained a doctoral degree at present (indicating that they have received relatively standardized research method training) More and more competitors are becoming stronger and stronger, and the paper layout resources are becoming more and more scarce. Where is your core competitiveness? People are in the Jianghu, many things can't help themselves, and many things belong to "follow your feelings" ", hard work doesn't necessarily yield results.
