Last time, I only talked about my first roommate during my study abroad. This time, I talked about the other two roommates in Italy. After I moved out from my Italian roommate, I found a Chinese family in Italy. They happened to have a house for rent. I went to see it and talked to them. I thought it was OK. I soon moved there, which reassured my family in China.

This time, I have the opportunity to deeply understand the world of Chinese in Italy. In addition to the younger generation of foreign students, most of the older generation living in Italy come from several towns in Zhejiang and Fujian. These villages and towns have a long tradition of going abroad. Many people go abroad in middle school. Young people are basically abroad, distributed all over the world, and slowly settle down in various places. Many will call domestic relatives and friends to take care of each other. The landlord and the host, who only have high school culture, are sincere, kind and talkative. He talked to me about his past experience and current views. He said that if anyone in his village didn't go abroad, he would be looked down upon in the village.

They have just come out. They have no language and culture. They can only work in factories opened by Chinese people. In Italy and Spain, there are many garment factories opened by the Chinese and many Chinese are employed. The salary is not high, but the working hours are very long. After working hard for more than ten years, the man finally saved enough money to buy a house locally and mastered some basic Italian. Slowly, he was not satisfied with working in Chinese factories, so he began to find local factories from various channels. He was lucky to come to a bread factory through his relatives. Because he worked hard, said less and did more, he soon won the trust of his boss.

But it can still be clearly seen that he is in a foreign land and his loneliness and loneliness are deep in his heart. After wandering abroad for so many years, he never wanted to stay. He didn't like or enjoy life here. He went abroad because he had no other choice. When he made enough money, he would go back, and he couldn't control where his children wanted to be. He prefers working life from Monday to Friday. He doesn't know what to do at the weekend. He can only drink to kill the complex of loneliness and homesickness. I often go out to travel or taste delicious food on weekends, which he has never been interested in. His life, work and many personal views make me feel that the world he sees seems to lack a dimension. Unfortunately, I can't change his vision, although I have tried.

Two Italian journalists have written a book called the immortal Chinese, which summarizes the investigation of these Chinese groups in Italy in detail, so as to eliminate the traditional prejudices and misunderstandings of the local people. The book says that many Italians often see Chinese people holding weddings, but rarely see funerals. They wonder whether these Chinese people will not grow old and die? In fact, many Chinese working here, like this male host, wait until they are too old to move, and then return home. Most of them live together in the form of villagers and friends, do not integrate into the local society, and are rarely willing to experience the local authentic life, culture, history, food and monuments. In fact, this scene is very similar to that of migrant workers in domestic cities. When they return home with the wealth they have accumulated for many years, the people in their hometown see their success and scenery, but only they know the loneliness and loneliness they have experienced abroad.

After living here for a period of time, I went to Udine University under the Alps in northern Italy to communicate. At the same time, another doctoral student in our maricurie project came to communicate from a university in southern France, but he was Algerian from North Africa. We both live in student dormitories and are very close to each other, so we often have the opportunity to go out for dinner, sports, shopping and travel together.

From him, I had the opportunity to learn a lot about Algeria and lament that the world could be so different. He said that everyone in their village is very close to each other. If someone gets married, the whole village will help and celebrate for nearly a month. In my opinion, it is unimaginable. Compared with office workers who are too busy to get married in modern cities, these people are really rich in time. It can also be seen that he is proud of their traditions and culture from the bottom of his heart.

There, the reputation of every small place is known to people in other places. The place where his home is located has a good reputation. Once he drove to other places, but he was stopped by the police for violating traffic regulations. The police knew he was from that place when they saw his driver's license, so they let him go directly. I also asked many questions about traveling there. As a result, he said that in many cities, foreign tourists have no problem traveling during the day, but they must stay in hotels outside the city at night. I didn't expect such strict management.

On weekends, we often rent a car to play in the Alps and the surrounding cities. When we see Chinese restaurants, I take him in to experience Chinese food. These strange foods in his view make him feel curious and fun. He will also take me to experience African food, especially all kinds of bread. With more and more in-depth and rich exchanges with him, I also slowly feel that the door of another world is opening to me.

He is always full of passion and confidence when talking about many things, including his own research projects. His communication and thinking are very clear and direct, and his love and hate are also very clear. He is willing to pay a great price for what he likes. For example, he likes cycling. There are many very beautiful cycling routes near the Alps. He spent a lot of money on a very high-grade bike. He likes to cherish it very much. He is still studying how to take the car back to Algeria when he takes a plane in the future.

After the exchange in this school, we both went back to our original school, but we often met each other when we went to many places for meetings every year. Every time we met, we were always very friendly. At least we had a meal together and had a good chat.
